gekko was revealed to be one of the new VALORANT agents. Despite its good reception, like everyone else, it needs some tweaking after its first week on the server. Jo-Ellen Aragon explained on Reddit the changes that will come in the next patch.

Gekko

  • Wingman (Q) crash and disable distance increased so he can go even further
  • Variations for Mosh’s explosions (C).
  • Audio improvements for Dizzy’s (E) plasma shots, making it easier to tell when they’re flying towards your allies.
  • We added a VFX for both when Gekko collects an orb and when he has finished collecting a glob.
  • We improved the visuals of enemy creatures
  • We have improved performance in agent selection

PERFORMANCE

  • We’ve added the “CPU wait GPU time” metric to the performance settings to help players see when their computers are tied to rendering threads.
