Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Molegato have just announced Frogun Encore, a sequel to last year’s game. Platforms haven’t been confirmed, but the original Frogun has already arrived at To change.
Frogun Encore is another retro platformer that builds on the previous entry. This is a standalone version, which means you don’t need to have played the previous game to enjoy this one.
Three years have passed since Renata ventured into the depths of the Lost Ruins and saved her parents (and the world!) from Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies. Since then, it’s been a tradition to hang out with Hatter and his former rival-turned-best friend Jake, the friends he met on his original adventure, every summer…camping, hiking and having fun in general.
However, one day, when they return from a hike in the jungle, they see Jake’s village being attacked by the evil Fly Bois! It seems some of them are still loyal to Beelzebub, and under the command of the vengeful General Fluff, they plan to use secret technology to bring the Lord of the Flies back to this world… so now join Renata and Jake as they did! hunt flies around the world to thwart his plan!
Based on the original, FROGUN ENCORE features an expanded moveset and increased agility for our heroes. Launch ziplines, spin and double jump, and launch yourself into the sky as you smash down enemies and grab items! Renata and Jake have grown up and learned the tricks to get started.
Flying in Hatter’s new plane, you’ll experience what Renata’s world looks like beyond the ruins of the Temple of Beelzebub, from the home region of the evil lord of Mosquia, to the dry sand dunes or hot spring lakes of Yushi.

Jake (and his sharp-tongued friend, Snatch) have been there from the start: once again, improving upon the original, where multiplayer was only available for Versus Arenas, FROGUN ENCORE is fully playable in local co-op for the main story. game mode. Playable solo or in cooperation, a second player can intervene at any time during a stage! Knowing the original Frogun is not a necessity to enjoy Encore! Both new and returning players will be able to tackle the challenges and wealth of content the game has to offer.
