Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed this month’s free games from April 2021 for all PS4 and PS5 users who are subscribed to PS Plus, a service through which users have access to certain titles, offers and other benefits. After Final Fantasy VII Remake was available as a featured free game, now it is the turn of the following video games: Day Gone for PS4, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, also for the previous generation Sony console (although both are supported with the new console) and Oddworld: Soulstorm for PS5.
Days Gone, enhanced on PS5
Bend Studio’s latest adventure, the creators of Siphon Filter, takes us to a post-apocalyptic world where infected creatures have become a threat to humans and other animals. The protagonist of Days Gone, Deacon St. John, travels the world on his motorcycle. Throughout the entire journey he faces all kinds of enemies, but not all of them are infected. This open world title was recently updated on PS5 to offer improved graphics, dynamic 4K resolution, and 60fps.
Oddworld: Soulstorm, from day one PS Plus
In the case of Oddworld: Soulstorm, you will only be able to enjoy the next generation version. Of course, it will be available in the service from the launch of the video game, an opportunity to try Abe’s adventure since the first day. Sony also confirms that Spanish users will have the opportunity to continue downloading Jade’s Ascension at no additional cost. We are talking about the PlayStation Talents video game that was already offered in March.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War, meanwhile, is set in the Europe of the 40s. The Resistance has defeated the zombie version of Adolf Hitler, but the war is not over yet, as the undead have risen again.
PS Plus Collection, PS4 classics exclusively for PS5
PlayStation Plus subscribers have access to a catalog of classics from Sony’s previous generation machine. Thus, all of them will be able to enjoy games like Bloodborne, Detroit: Become Human, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us Remastered, Until Dawn or Uncharted 4: The Thief’s End. There are also third party games like Mortal Kombat X, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Monster Hunter World and Battlefield 1, among many others.
