Final Fantasy XIV Will Replace NA Data Center Hardware

Square Enix has announced that it will update the hardware used for final fantasy xiv North American Data Centers. This change will be made in preparation for future updates. There will be a 24-hour retention period for your custody beginning April 3, 2023.

Hardware replacement used for Final Fantasy XIV’s North American data centers is underway to optimize the player experience for future updates, the company said. However, the physical location of the data centers will remain the same, while all data will be transferred automatically.

Square Enix will transfer all data from the data center to the new hardware for an extended maintenance period from Monday, April 3, 2023 at 3:00 a.m. PT/6:00 a.m. ET through April 4, 2023 at 3:00 a.m. PT/6:00 a.m. ET. This date will also coincide with the arrival of patch 6.38 for final fantasy xiv. Specifically, the data centers that will get maintenance will be Aether, Crystal, Primal, and the newest, Dynamis, which arrived earlier with patch 6.28. Additionally, there will be no changes to the data center selection screens or login process.
