Playstation Plus is Sony’s premier subscription-based multiplayer service that also gives gamers access to full versions of various games. Every month PS Plus users can download a small collection of games. The newest entries for September 2021 are Hitman 2, Predator: Hunting Grounds and (only for PS5 users) Overcooked! All You Can Eat.

Record

Now a new world record has been created in connection with Sony’s online service, which has even entered in the official Guinness book! The Mediatonic team has a great success for their Battle Royale game Fall Guys. The game is apparently recognized by Guinness World Records as the most downloaded Playstation Plus game of all time.

Fall Guys

The game enjoyed great popularity in August 2020 during the closed beta phase shortly before full release. That same month, Fall Guys was dating Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered Free to download as a monthly offer for PS Plus users.

And the rush for the free game at the time with PS-Plus users was obviously great. Now Fall Guys has the record for the most downloads of a PS Plus game ever. This achievement has now been officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

The game has also found a large fan base on Steam. There the battle royale game recorded good numbers with an average of 10,000 active players in the months of August and September.

The game will also be released for both Xbox and Nintendo Switch, but it was announced in April that the plans for the other console releases would be delayed. When these versions appear, cross-play will be possible.
