xQc

The popular Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel (xQc) had to abruptly end his 18-hour GTA RP stream because the power was turned off out of nowhere. On March 31, the former Overwatch League pro played on NoPixel’s GTA Role Play server. Both he and his audience had fun- until suddenly nothing worked.

Especially his audience couldn’t make sense of the situation. Because for them it was completely unclear what exactly happened and why xQc suddenly stopped its stream. Despite posting comments in the chat, xQc never reappeared, causing some of the viewers to worry.

Electricity bill not paid

A little later, xQc reported on Twitter and revealed that for some reason he had forgotten to pay his electricity bill and that his viewers had to look down the tube because of it: “Forgot to pay the electricity bill. The power failed, the stream too.” He wrote on Twitter.

“I’ll be back today or tomorrow. The last stream was up and down, but overall good!”

How can this happen to a multi-million dollar streamer who depends on electricity? He also provided the answer to this in another tweet:

“I set up an automatic transfer with my credit card. But the credit limit of the card is just as high as it was at 12. That is why the transfers sometimes don’t work. Has to do with my Canadian bank, doesn’t pay any attention.”

But not only xQc was affected by the power outage in his apartment. The stream of his roommate (Adept) also crashed at the same time. She was hit at the worst possible time by the incident because she wanted to hold a longer stream marathon that day. Of course, that didn’t work.

The clumsy action became a topic of conversation on the net. Streaming colleague Alinity spoke up and made fun of the Canadian. However, she also openly admits that she’s made the same mistake in the past: “That streamer life, this happened to me more times than i care to admit. Get your stuff in automatic payments, it’s totally worth it!”
