Koei Tecmo revealed information about new content and Marie Rose’s swimsuit in Dead or Alive Xtreme: Vacation on Venus. Producer Yasunori Sakuda and Character Designer Fubuki spoke with Famitsu about the recent True Colors update for the game, Marie’s upcoming new content, and why she was chosen as the second True Colors character. . Until recently, characters only received exclusive swimsuits when first introduced and changed colors for character birthday events. Players have expressed a desire for new content for a variety of characters and to see them interact with each other. The True Colors update was produced in response to feedback and introduced new swimsuits and voiceovers for select characters.
Misaki was the first character to receive True Colors content. Since she was conceived as the face of Dead or Alive Xtreme: Vacation on Venus, was chosen as the first to receive new content. However, Sakuda revealed that they had the concept for Marie Rose’s True Colors content before they even released the update.
Mai Aizawa, Marie Rose’s voice actress, mentioned that the character has a different kind of appeal in the DO A series compared to PRAYER XVV. After hearing this, the development team wanted to more accurately portray Marie in her more mysterious “Gothic Lolita” style from the main series.
Her new Twinkle Rose swimsuit was meant to reflect this characterization, and Fubuki had her title of “Wicked Lil’ Servant” in mind when she designed it. The new swimsuit combines the style of her gothic lolita clothes and her battle suit, both from the Dead or alive Games.
In other PRAYER XVV news, the new character Yukino recently joined the Japanese version of the game. She is a high school girl with a “gyaru” style.
Dead or Alive Xtreme: Vacation on Venus It is available on Windows PC. New True Color content and Marie Rose’s swimsuit will appear in PRAYER XVV on March 29, 2023.
