While everyone knows Professor Layton and many people from Fantasy Life, Level-5 closed out their hat trick during February’s Nintendo Direct with something really new to their catalog, titled DecaPolice. Announced like that because it’s for Nintendo Switch, but this mystery crime RPG is also coming to PS5 and PlayStation 4.
These are kids in full police training. But its academy is not conventional, since it has a virtual world called DECASIM which imitates the real one without the risk of interfering in the lives of others. There they train between investigation parts with an Ace Attorney touch and combat parts with turns, until a pirate hacks this space and causes somewhat whimsical transformations.
DecaPolice investigates this crime in open urban environments, in which the other crimes typical of their formation also take place. And it’s going to make the resolution available to gamers sometime in 2023, with localization in charge of Level-5 itself.
