Counter-Strike 2 Trademarks by Valve – Game News

Over the past few days, Valve’s activity on the Steam backend apparently indicated the release of an updated version of its flagship FPS game in the form of CSGO Source 2. Now, however, it looks like we might be more close to a full version. Counter-Strike 2 sequel and release date: New trademark requests, both related to Global Offensive and something revealing labeled “CS2”, seem to suggest that Counter-Strike 2 is on the way.

To quickly recap, Valve made a number of changes to the CSGO Steam archive this week, adding new executables called “CS2”, as well as updates and changes to the Counter- Strike Global Offensive.

In a nutshell, Valve filed a new trademark for something called CS2 which is tied as intellectual property to the Counter-Strike and CSGO trademarks.
