NFT Worlds kicks off the first stage of its game reboot with Armory, a combination of locker room, shop, and game preview. It’s been a long eight months since NFT Worlds was forced to shut down, so it’s nice to see a little life in this collection of Minecraft-themed virtual worlds.

NFT Worlds has been in rebuilding mode since Minecraft announced that it specifically forbade any blockchain or NFT integration with its game. In response, NFT Worlds decided to create its own Minecraft-style game, while natively integrating it with the blockchain technology and creating additional tools and services to help creators realize their own vision of the world.

We’ve seen a few early versions of MetaFab, an offshoot of NFT Worlds looking to create tools, contracts, and APIs that anyone can use to help bring their game/application into the web3 space. But now we’re taking a first look at some of the game engine features they’re building to replace Minecraft.

This feature comes in the form of The Armory. Basically, The Armory is a locker room app for NFT Worlds. Players can don different gear and preview how it will look in-game. But it’s not just a static view. There is actually a small mini-world in which players can run around in their latest outfits. It also includes in-game links to the Open Sea, allowing players to purchase items and avatars. You can visit the Armory at

NFT Worlds recently released loot boxes containing the first NFT accessories for those who had NFT Worlds avatars.

What is NFT Worlds?

NFT Worlds is a gaming ecosystem inspired by Minecraft. Although its initial release used Minecraft code as its base, a mid-2022 announcement from Microsoft ended that. Since then, NFT Worlds has been working on building its own game, Minecraft-style.

The rebooted game client is not yet available, but it will include native web3 integration via MetaFab, and they also plan to make their game playable in a browser.

Global NFTs are fully customizable by their owners. Owners are free to modify their world as they wish. At any time, owners can sync and save these changes to the NFT. All changes are reflected in the NFT image! There aren’t many projects with mutable NFTs, so it’s great to see it in action. Once personalized, the world can be synchronized with the blockchain, shared with other players, even rented and monetized!

NFT Worlds has its own WRLD token, which will boost its gameplay and ecosystem.
