Through a thread on the Resident Evil 3 Steam page, a user claimed that after the last title update on April 14, the graphics option to enable ray tracing in RE3 had been deleted. Another user assured that he had encountered the same problem in the same version of Resident Evil 2. To this must be added that more players have confirmed that HDR does not work in both titles either, something ‘unusual.

Some of the community suspects that these changes may be temporary to fix other technical issues. The truth is that this isn’t the first time that PC releases of the franchise’s remakes have run into issues. in the past already Capcom This allowed PC gamers to roll back updates released to various titles in the franchise, as they caused complications and even prevented some users from playing them. Without going overboard, Capcom had to remove the Denuvo DRM software from Resident Evil Village a week ago, due to performance issues.

Capcom has yet to comment on the matter, although it is expected to release a statement explaining the reasons for the changes and whether it will be a trend for all games in the franchise.
