A few days ago it was a year since the launch of Elden Ring, FromSoftware’s newest game and one of the most successful in recent years, as it became GOTY 2022, broke sales records for the studio and is still much loved and remembered by his fans. Today Bandai Namco confirmed that we will have more content as they announced a DLC expansion called Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Thanks to a post from the official Elden Ring social media account, it has been confirmed that the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is already in development by FromSoftware. This expansion should arrive later on Elden Ring in all its versions, since it is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC.

The publication announcing the expansion of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree he also shows us an image with DLC art, which seems to show Marika on top of Torrente in a golden field, with ruins of architecture similar to what we saw in Farum Azula. Everything seems to indicate that FromSoftware will send us back in time with this Elden Ring extension, but for now we can only wait for Bandai Namco to provide more details.

Rise up, Smudge, and let’s walk a new path togetherreads the Elden Ring post announcing its DLC, though it doesn’t give any further details on the next adventure. Most likely this DLC is a paid expansion, but we’ll have to wait until it’s ready for Bandai Namco and FromSoftware to announce its price and release date.

In July last year, Bandai Namco suffered a leak and an alleged list of the company’s next releases was obtained, among which we saw an extension of the Elden Ring DLC. However, said expansion was called “Elden Ring: Barbarians of the Badlands”, so it’s possible it got a name change or the leak wasn’t true in the first place. Some of the unannounced titles in the leak are Little Nightmares 3, Dragon Ball Super FighterZ, and Digimon Story Cybersleuth 2.
