It was one of the most anticipated events within the PC community and it has finally happened. AMD has presented the Radeon RX 6700 XT, its graphics card belonging to the RDNA 2 architecture and which will be released on March 18 in the retail markets.

The price will be $479 for its launch, which places it below Nvidia’s RTX 3070 for 519 euros and above the RTX 3060 for 335 euros. Among its main features we find 230 watts of power, 12GB of GDDR6 memory and 40 Compute Units that can reach 2.4 GHz (the RX 6800 has 60 and the RX 6800 XT with 80).

The company ensures that all current titles on the market can be played with the highest settings at a resolution of 1440p. Taken to several examples we find that we should not have problems in reaching 212fps in Overwatch, 272fps in League of Legends or 360fps in Rainbow Six Siege .

One of the sectors that AMD wants to focus on is e-sports, making their product a really attractive option for competitive gamers. It is also specified that ray tracing will be possible at a resolution of 1440p .

This new card will require two connectors for its power, one 8-pin and the other 6, and the GPU will sync somewhat faster than previous RX 6000 series cards. The designs of the same will be customized by the partners of AMD, so there will be versions of both two and three fans. On the back there are DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and HDMI 2.1 connection, seeking their enablement with televisions and monitors.

In this way, AMD also seeks to nurture the stock of graphics cards with units , which are in short supply. However, they assure that they have no plans to reduce their use towards crypto mining, as Nvidia launched its dedicated product, the CPM HX.
