Mandrakes are a notorious creature of the Harry Potter books and movies, and appear in Hogwarts Legacy. You initially find them during your Herbology class, but you can find them later to use against enemies, stunning them in battle to make them easier to defeat. There are several ways to find mandrakes. Here’s what you need to know about all Mandrake locations in Hogwarts Legacy.
Where to find Mandrakes in Hogwarts Legacy
There are two ways to find mandrakes. The first is to find them by exploring the wilderness outside of Hogwarts. There are a handful of locations you can visit, and the closest is on the eastern side of the Forbidden Forest. There is a ruined building on a hill, where you can find several mandrakes in a garden. They will be surrounded by a body lying on the ground and guarded by several undead creatures, which means you need to make sure to use the Fire spell against them.
The other method is to talk to the owner of the Dogweed and Deathcap shop. The store is located north of Hogsmeade. The vendor here sells a handful of useful supplies, such as Mandrake. She sells mandrakes and offers you mandrakes seeds. By providing him with Mandrake Seeds, he can grow them freely in the Room of Requirement or when visiting the Herbology class.
Both options are fine if you are looking for Mandrakes, but in between we recommend Mandrake seeds. They give you a lot more options and versatility for growing Mandrakes, and you can grow as many as you want, as long as you don’t mind waiting for the timer.
