Amazon’s spy thriller has secured a fourth installment regardless of the third party’s audience data. Season 4 will put an end to the adventures of Jack Ryan.

Is Jack Ryan the best spy thriller of the moment? One of the best, at least, for sure. The Prime Video series has just released the third season full of action and intrigue. Although it is soon, even more so because its premiere was this week, we are already starting to look towards season 4, because its next installment will be very special.

Whatever happens with the reception of the new batch of episodes, the series was renewed for one more season. With her, Jack Ryan will say goodbye to viewers forever. An announcement that was surprising due to the success of its first two seasons, but which fit in with the multiple rumors that John Krasinski was going to join the Marvel universe as Mr. Fantastic in the new Fantastic Four movie. So, what will the farewell of the spy created by Tom Clancy be like?

To begin with, it is still early to set a date for season 4. However, we know that we will not have to wait three years as has happened between the second and third. Production started in February 2022, so the last batch of episodes is expected to arrive in 2023, probably in the second half of the year to make room for those of T3.

As for the cast, in addition to Krasinski (The Office), Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico), who, coincidentally, also went through the UCM as the funny Louis in ‘Ant-Man’, will reprise his role as Domingo “Ding Chavez. Rumors suggest that a spin-off focused on this important character in the novels could be underway. We will not talk about the rest of the cast so as not to speculate or gut those who survive season 3 or not, if someone dies.

As for the plot, we still don’t know where it will go, but we can speculate. If there’s only one season left, it’s highly unlikely that the series will address the arc in which Jack Ryan is President of the United States (yes, that happens in the novels), so we’ll probably see him addressing some of the plots involving the American army or decides to close his story on his own without basing himself directly on the books.
