A live action series, movies, and now a new animated series. Fans of the universe created from ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ are in luck because it seems that Paramount + is developing the adventures of the next Avatar, after Aang and Korra, for 2025.

Among the animated universes for the younger audience, Avatar is now boasting quite good health. Not to be confused with James Cameron movies; this Avatar is a person with the ability to master air, fire, water and wind and maintain balance in the world. The first contact with the public was in Avatar: The Last Airbender, in 2005, a series that went on to win a Peabody Award. That universe would continue to be explored with Aang’s successor in The Legend of Korra, in 2012, and it seems that in a couple of years we will meet the Avatar that will succeed her.

At least, that is stated in a news website dedicated exclusively to these fictions. According to their information, Avatar Studios is developing a new animated series that would be seen on Paramount+ in 2025, and that would be added to the films already announced, and also scheduled for that year, in which the creators of the series, Bryan Konietzko, are involved. and Michael Dante DiMartino. The first of them, also for that streaming platform, will star Aang as an adult, and more details of the others are unknown.

For its part, the premiere of the real-action fiction that Netflix is shooting is expected for 2023, and of which Konietzko and DiMartino are no longer part. It will be a remake of the original animated series, which has since continued in comics and video games.
