Netflix confirms date for Record of Ragnarok season 2 part 2: Hades and Beelzebub land in the arena

Despite the anime adaptation not living up to what fans expected, Record of Ragnarok has picked up a good amount of viewers since its premiere on Netflix. Earlier this year we were able to witness the return of one of the craziest series of today, and now, after several weeks of waiting, we finally have a date for the denouement of this second season.

As announced by Netflix through its Twitter account, the second part of this season 2 will arrive on the platform on July 12, 2023. Of course, the number of chapters has been reduced, going from 10 to 5 episodes in which we will see the outcome of the fight between Buddha and Bishamonten.

In addition, the company wanted to add the arrival of three voice actors to the series, confirming which duel will end this second season: Hajun, Hades and Beelzebub. All of them are gods who participate in the contest against humans, but it remains to be seen who will be the fighters for the side of humanity.

So far, the anime has adapted the following fights:

  • Thor vs Lu Bu, with the God of Thunder being the winner.
  • Adam vs Zeus, with Zeus being the winner after one of the most epic fights of the entire series.
  • Kojiro Sasaki vs Poseidon, with the Japanese swordsman coming out on top for having more determination
  • Jack the Ripper vs Hercules, with the Londoner winning at the last moment and in the most dastardly fashion
  • Raiden Tameemon vs Shiva, with the Hindu God winning by the narrowest of margins.

Currently, the matchup is in favor of the Gods with a 3-2 aggregate for the deities. It should be remembered that Buddha will start in favor of humanity, so if he wins he would tie the match and put the gods on the ropes.
