New date for Madonna’s Miami show: “The Celebration Tour” rescheduled after hospitalization

The global artist, who required intensive therapy and weeks of recovery from a bacterial infection, had to adjust the dates of her long-awaited tour

Madonna confirmed the resumption of The Celebration Tour after an unexpected pause due to a serious bacterial infection that led her to be hospitalized and require treatment in the intensive care unit. The tour, initially scheduled to begin on July 15 in Vancouver, had to be suspended, according to statements made by Guy Oseary, the artist’s manager, in an Instagram post.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Madonna has prepared this tour as a tribute to her musical legacy. The tour includes hits from her 1983 debut album, as well as globally recognized classics such as Like a Prayer, Vogue, Frozen and Papa Don’t Preach.

The artist has rescheduled several tour dates, including four performances in London scheduled for October.

As for Miami, performances originally scheduled for September 9 and 10 have been rescheduled for April 6 and 7 at the Kaseya Center. Previously purchased tickets will be valid for the new dates.
