Following a bomb threat that turned out to be a false alarm the screening of the film “Long live Montero”, which shows rapper Lil Nas X both in concert and interviews, took place; reviews so far have been positive

The documentary “Long live Montero,” which showcases the musical career of rapper Lil Nas X, was shown at the Toronto Film Festival, but its screening and the red carpet prior to it were delayed 20 minutes due to a bomb threat; after a quick investigation by police it was reported that no one was in danger and the event proceeded without complications.

“Long live Montero” features Lil Nas X (whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill) during an eight-month tour. It includes interviews with the artist, who talks about his family, his beginnings in the industry and his struggle to defend his homosexuality after being rejected for several years. He was very satisfied with the work of directors Zac Manuel and Carlos Lopez Estrada, to whom he told countless anecdotes for the film.

So far, there is no date for the commercial release of “Lil Nas X: Long live Montero”, a film that is already highly anticipated among fans of the singer of hits such as “Industry baby”, “Star walkin'” and “Old town road”, but the published reviews have been positive; Variety described the documentary as “a vaguely boisterous and at times exhilarating backstage concert film, co-directed with vitality by Manuel and Lopez Estrada”.
