On the occasion of the day of the Panda, Dreamworks and Netflix have announced the development of Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight , an animated series set in the narrative universe of Kung Fu Panda that will also see the return as the original voice of Jack Black for the character of Bit.

According to the description offered, in the series there will be a group of weasels who will focus their eyes on four very powerful weapons, which will require the intervention of Po, ready to venture on a journey of redemption and justice, which will lead him to meet with a English knight called Wandering Blade. The two will embark on an epic journey in search of magical weapons to save the world from destruction.

Until now, only Jack Black has been announced as a member of the project’s original voice cast. Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight will be produced by Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian, and co-produced by Chris Amick and Ben Mekler.

Recall that Kung Fu Panda had three dedicated feature films, released between 2008 and 2016. The three films are available on Netflix.
