The album will be released on October 20, and will feature collaborations with artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Darlene Love, Michael Bublé and Stevie Wonder. She has declined to reveal which songs Cher Christmas will include, but in an interview on Good Morning Britain she commented that “it’s not your mother’s Christmas album. It’s a Cher Christmas album, whatever the name is on it. It’s definitely my idea of a Christmas album. I had to do what I felt. There is no “Silent night.”
At about the same time as the release of Cher Christmas, the first single, “DJ play a Christmas song” will be released. The 77-year-old singer, who in her long career has achieved worldwide success in several musical genres, said she is proud of this new project: “I’m really excited. I’ve never had duets on my albums. It was a last-minute decision to include them here.
