Ricky Martin was surprised by his twins during his show after he announced his divorce
The Puerto Rican singer expressed his excitement to see his children standing next to him on stage.
Ricky Martin is not having a good time sentimentally after announcing his divorce with Jwan Yosef after six years of marriage; however, professionally, he is. The Puerto Rican singer is on tour in Europe and received an incredible surprise.
The twins Matteo and Valentino wanted to make Ricky Martin smile and danced on stage when their father was delighting his fans with his voice during his concert in Locarno, Switzerland.
The interpreter of ‘Maybe’ could not hide his surprise and excitement to see his children enjoying on stage with him and the symphony orchestra of 50 people that accompanies him. “What a beautiful surprise! When my twins got on stage with me for the first time,” he wrote in the description accompanying this beautiful moment.
Within minutes of the publication, the Puerto Rican’s followers filled the post with comments in which they pointed out how happy they were for their favorite star: “I die of love”, “I remember an anecdote you told a few years ago, it was the first time you took the kids to a show, and one of them told you in a joking tone: ‘ah, you are Ricky Martin’ what a great moment in your show, your children with you”, “The best video of Ricky’s entire career”, “The face of happiness of the three of them is the best! !! It is worth remembering that the singer has been taking refuge in his children and loved ones to face this separation, because before making public his divorce with Jwan, he had expressed in his Starlite Marbella concert that he was vulnerable.
“This concert is full of many emotions and you are going to see them all because vulnerability will be on my skin, I am going to give myself completely,” he said at the time.

Days later she communicated her separation: “We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have lived as a couple all these wonderful years”. And on her Instagram account she showed a video next to Matteo and Valentino, revealing that her children were her best refuge.
“Bonding time with the twins, before tonight’s show,” was the comment she posted on the short clip as she traveled by yacht to Monaco.
Wants joint custody
When Martin and Yosef released their statement announcing their separation, the two mentioned that they wish to “continue joint parenting” of their children Lucia and Renn, as they claimed that their “greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue raising our children together, preserving the respect and love we have for each other.”
This takes more strength, now that People magazine revealed that the singer is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their other two children, Lucia (4) and Renn (3), with her still-husband in their divorce filing. According to the report, Ricky Martin filed his divorce petition with the Superior Court of California last Wednesday, July 5.
In addition, the ‘La mordidita’ singer detailed that he wants to separate from the Swedish painter due to “irreconcilable differences”.
