Pop princess Britney Spears rose to fame at an early age. At just 11 years old, Spears was one of the most beloved characters on American television thanks to her participation in the famous Mickey Club.

Her career continued to rise until the release of her first album Baby one more time , where the singer achieved world fame and promised to become one of the biggest pop stars in history.

After Baby one more time came Ops I did it again and then Toxic, which earned the artist a Grammy and predicted success for many more years.

However, the shadow of fame led the artist to live very difficult moments in her life from which she still cannot recover and that make her the protagonist of the documentary Framing Britney Spears, a look at the events that have affected the life of the singer r who now faces a legal battle with his father.

One of the most memorable episodes in Spears’ life history was her marriage to her ex-husband, dancer Kevin Federline, in 2004.

At first, the couple seemed happy but they only lasted two years and their divorce, in 2006, captured the attention of all the media in the world as both Spears and Federline were throwing hints at each other. In fact, in an interview, Federline assured that marrying the singer “was the worst mistake of his life.”

Although the union did not prosper, the relationship left two children and full custody of the minors was granted to Federline, due to the singer’s drug and alcohol addiction problems.

Since her separation, the pop princess has been plunged into a world of excess and starred on tabloid media covers while drinking and at various parties.

The siege of the paparazzi is perhaps another of the most difficult moments that the singer has lived during her years of career. Among the most memorable events is the photograph that one of them took of her when she was carrying her four-month-old baby on her legs while driving, an act for which the singer would later apologize.

However, the most memorable event in Spears’ chaotic relationship with the paparazzi occurred in 2007, when the singer attacked one of them with an umbrella and attacked the vehicle in which she was moving.

The paparazzi constantly harassed her after Spears shaved her head, one of the most memorable moments in the entertainment industry and which generated concern for the artist’s life.

In 2008, the singer’s father, Jaime Spears, obtained legal custody alleging mental health problems and the artist’s inability to make decisions for herself.

The artist disappeared from the industry for several years but made the news again in 2019, when she was admitted to a psychiatric clinic apparently to rehabilitate.

The battles with her father

Since Jamie Spears obtained custody of her daughter and has the power to make all her decisions, both personal and financial, a movement called Free Britney has emerged, from where fans and acquaintances assure that the artist is practically ‘kidnapped’ and that they keep her away from it all to manage their song royalties.

Jamie Spears has been the 39-year-old singer's legal guardian since 2008.

In fact, a few months ago, the singer filed a petition to remove legal custody from her father, which was rejected by legal authorities.

Those who defend the artist say that her father says that he keeps her away from others for money while her father claims that he only wants the best for her.
