The company Turmalina Metals released an update on the results of the ongoing exploration in the San Francisco de Los Andes mining exploration project. The company said that the total land position expanded to more than 40,000 hectares, thus becoming one of the largest exploration land positions.

The Canadian firm further indicated that exploration efforts since April 2022 have been focused on defining and advancing additional targets outside of the well-mineralized San Francisco breccia and breccia-tested targets in the 2021 drill program.

Consolidation of mineral rights also continued during this time. In this sense, Turmalina Metals expanded its land tenure by 5,840 hectares to a total area of 40,340 hectares. The work of the technical team has identified seven priority objectives for monitoring.

“The exploration team in Argentina has been advancing diligently on the San Francisco project under the leadership of Chico Azevedo,” said CEO James Rogers, quoted by the Minería & Desarrollo site.

“We have built up a highly prospective and dominant land position in one of Argentina’s most active mining jurisdictions and are advancing multiple diverse targets to be ready to drill in 2023,” he added.
