During the Christmas lunch of the Propeller Club of Barcelona, held on Tuesday, December 13, the IX Propeller Prize was awarded to the company Wallbox for its trajectory and excellence. The award was collected by Enric Asunción, co-founder and CEO of Wallbox, who gave a talk about his current company and future prospects.

Wallbox is a pioneer company in the creation of advanced energy management and charging systems for electric vehicles. The firm was founded in 2015 and already has 4 plants, in China and the US, as well as two in Catalonia, one in Sant Andreu de la Barca and the most recent in the Barcelona Free Zone.

Enric Asunción highlighted the importance of the electric car “as a key opportunity in the energy transition, where charging at home will be essential”. Among the keys that the co-founder and CEO highlighted about Wallbox “is internationalization, the importance of the human team and a clear vision for innovation.”

The Wallbox company, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, in 2015, its first year of activities, had a turnover of close to 200,000 euros and this 2022 will far exceed “150 million euros”, Asunción advanced.

To conclude, the co-founder and CEO of Wallbox explained that the clear pillars of his company are: “Sustainability based on innovation that builds cleaner and more efficient technologies from an environmental point of view, fully committed to accelerating this process in the mobility sector.
