Mexican actor Octavio Ocana, known for his role as ‘Benito Rivers’ on the hit series ‘Neighbors’ of Televisa, died on the night of Friday, October 29, under strange circumstances.

According to the first information that Infobae México gave, the artist would have lost his life due to a bullet impact after a police chase in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli.

The death of the 22-year-old actor was confirmed by Televisa through its social networks. “We join in the sorrow of the actor’s loved ones and friends, to whom we send our sincere condolences. Rest in peace”, was the message from the Las Estrellas channel on Twitter.

Before this news, the members of the series ‘Neighbors’ showed their pain for the loss of their partner. “I can not believe it. Rest in peace, my dear Octavio. You leave us all who knew you very sad. Have a good trip, Benito”, Elías Soloro, producer of the series, detailed in networks.

The protagonist of ‘Neighbors’, Eduardo España, was also shocked by the death of Ocaña. “We are undone. I can’t sleep, I can’t stop crying and shaking. RIP Octavio Ocaña, our beloved Benito in Neighbors”.

Another artist from the Mexican series who mourned Ocaña’s death was Georgina Holguin, who said that she will always remember him “With that smile that he brought in the forums”.

HOW DID OCTAVIO OCAÑA DIE?

According to information circulating in the media, Octavio Ocaña died Friday afternoon from an alleged “denotation of a firearm” during a police chase.

Apparently, the young actor was driving on the highway of Chamapa-Dairy with direction to Atizapán municipality on apparent drunkenness, so the police officers stopped him.

Ocaña would not have stopped and increased the speed of the vehicle to flee. In the middle of the chase, the Mexican artist crashed into a vehicle. In a few seconds, the shot that ended the life of the popular ‘Benito’ was heard.

Until now, It is not known why the firearm was activated, which according to reports belonged to the victim.

For now, the two people who were accompanying him give their statement to him. Public ministry to determine the causes of the detonation of the weapon.

JOURNALIST SHOWS EVIDENCE

Journalist Carlos Jimenez reported that the actor was allegedly drinking with two friends inside a truck in Villa Nicolás Romero.

Police reportedly ordered him to stop, but Ocaña, who is believed to have been armed with a pistol, refused. The agents began to persecute him before his refusal.

SECOND VERSION OF HIS DEATH

According to some police reports, the young man was manning a gray truck of the marca Jeep modelo Grand Cherokee with license plates PWJ-213D, from the state of Morelos, in the Tepojaco area.

An unofficial version indicates that the act was intercepted by two armed individuals, who tried to strip him of his truck.

Motorists passing through the area became aware of the events and reported what happened to the corresponding authorities.

However, the criminals allegedly upon realizing that they had been discovered would have gotten into the unit and forced the artist to drive towards the Champa-Lechería highway, for which a manhunt began.

Upon reaching kilometer 5 of the road in the direction of Chamapa, a shot was heard, later the vehicle left the road and ended up hitting a mound of earth.

Minutes later the uniformed men approached and secured two of the crew, while the driver, Octavio O., was taken seriously injured to a hospital, where hours later his death was reported.

The name of Octavio Ocaña became a trend on Twitter and other social networks after his death was announced in strange circumstances.

Several tweeters denounced alleged inconsistencies in the Viralized photographs in networks where, allegedly, he appears with a weapon in his hand, the same one that would have taken his life.

Internet users compared these images with others where the actor is seen without any object in his hand. Thus, the internatuas began to speculate that the policemen “planted” the weapon so that it all looked like a suicide or accident and not police abuse.

“It is not the first time and it will not be the last in which the police have planted a weapon on you to change the version of events. Now it was Octavio Ocaña’s turn, to see if the authority would stop making a sh * t about the null police training,” one user pointed out.
