Cyberpunk 2077 was highly anticipated, to say the least, and the game was released too soon, far too soon. The teams are working hard to correct their copy.
The players were waiting greatly Cyberpunk 2077, it must be said that the marketing teams of the studios responsible for the game had gone all out. Finally, as with a lot of such big productions, the title came out too early, way too soon. Result of the operation: a game far from being completed and extremely numerous bugs. It’s time for patches.
The first big patch for Cyberpunk 2077 has arrived
As promised by CD Projekt Red, the first two patches from the beginning of this year 2021 for Cyberpunk 2077 have arrived. These two fixes allow the game to go to version 1.1 on PC, consoles and Stadia. And if the patch notes are to be believed, they lay the foundation for future updates, while also fixing memory addressing issues and other unexpected crashes. The patch is available now and still weighs between 6 and 9 GB on Steam, around 1 GB on GoG and no less than 16 GB on Xbox and PS4.
Mostly technical fixes for the moment
A little over a week ago, CD Projekt Red unveiled an update schedule beyond this one and the next patch, which will arrive in February and should be more important in terms of content. Some console-specific changes in this update include optimizations for the PS4 Pro and PS5 as well as better memory management on Xbox One systems. On PC, Steam players can get trophies by playing offline, and some fixes are only for the Google Stadia platform.
Nothing foolish in terms of pure play, that’s for sure, but it should still provide a better gaming experience. The CD Projekt Red teams are working hard to make their game a must. . Now we just have to give them time … Hopefully, however, it will not take too long, otherwise the players may decide not to come back.
