CD Projekt Red, the developer of “Cyberpunk 2077”, has announced a series of updates to address bugs and technical deficiencies in its game released in December 2020.

In a YouTube video, Marcin Iwiński, CEO of the Polish studio, promised major patches for spring 2021.

In addition, it reported that, in order to carry out the updates, the addition of free additional content (DLC) that had been planned to shortly after the game’s release has been postponed.

The director of CD Projekt Red announced that the update for the new generation of consoles, that is, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, will also be expected to come out later this year along with other updates and improvements.

In the video, Iwiński also publicly apologized for the disastrous launch of the game. Due to serious performance issues, particularly on older consoles, the game had to be pulled from digital stores.

Iwiński emphasized that he and the board of directors were responsible for the failure of the published versions: “And it was our decision to launch the game in that state.” According to the CEO, management “underestimated” the task of moving the game from PC to consoles.
