Octavio Perez, father of the late actor Octavio Ocaña, said that he will take legal action against the people who took pictures of his son’s body in the morgue.

“They took a nude photo of him in the morgue and uploaded it. That is not having a mother.” The father of the family pointed out angrily during the peaceful march “Justice for Octavio Ocaña”, which took place in Mexico City.

“That is degrading”, Octavio Pérez added, indicating that he will take legal action against those responsible.

Controversy over the death of Octavio Ocaña

The Mexican government will provide accompaniment to the family of actor Octavio Ocaña, who died from a mysterious gunshot to the head during a police chase in the central State of Mexico, said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

He assured that although the investigation is in charge of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico, the federal government will intervene, since the actor’s father asked for his help.

Ocaña’s death occurred last Friday, October 29, in the municipality of Cuautitlán Izcalli, when a police van asked the actor to stop his vehicle, which unleashed a chase that ended with the actor’s vehicle, who was traveling with two others companions, crashing into a wall.

According to the State Prosecutor’s Office, the actor died from a shot in the head from a weapon that was inside the vehicle and that was detonated during the persecution in still unclear circumstances.

The Mayor’s Office of Cuautitlán Izcalli maintains that the police wanted to stop Ocaña’s vehicle after realizing that he had a weapon inside.

However, a video broadcast on social networks has further contributed to the confusion, as it shows moments after the crash, in which Ocaña appears bleeding and is still alive without the police trying to help him.
