The company, owned by Sociedad Comercial del Plata, invested to optimize the operation of the strategic terminal located in the province of Buenos Aires that coordinates fuel logistics by river for YPF and other companies.

The Destilería Argentina de Petróleo SA (DAPSA), belonging to the Argentine holding Sociedad Comercial del Plata (SCP), decided to invest more than 5 million dollars in the modernization of its terminal in the Province of Buenos Aires.

Strategically located in the Port of Dock Sud, a few steps from the City of Buenos Aires and the main consumption centers of the metropolitan area, the terminal not only articulates the supply of fuels from the network of more than 200 service stations operated by the company, but also provides logistical support to the main refineries in the country.

The works, which are part of an ambitious investment plan for more than 25 million dollars , contemplate the renovation of its tank park with a storage capacity of more than 130 million liters of fuel. As well as, it means the modernization of its extensive network of pipelines that interconnect the plant with its exclusive dock in the Flammable Dock, and the main plants that operate in the region, optimizing its operational response to allow the reception and dispatch of oil tankers. with high quality and safety indexes.

It is worth clarifying that the announcement was made during the visit made by the authorities of the Secretariat of Energy of the Nation, led by Secretary Darío Martínez , the Chief of Cabinet of the Municipality of Avellaneda Magdalena Sierra , the president of the Consortium of the Port of Dock Sud, Carla Monrabal and the Subsecretary of Hydrocarbons of the Nation, Maggie Videla Oporto.

The Executive Director General of DAPSA and CEO of SCP, Pablo Arnaude, said: “We are a national company with more than 100 years of history that is committed to the country, investing in the modernization of its infrastructure, to be able to arrive with products and services of quality to more and more users throughout the country, consolidating its presence in the 18 provinces in which it currently operates.On the other hand, the modernization of our terminal will allow us, in turn, to expand the supply of logistics services that We provide to the main refineries in the country that trust DAPSA, storing their fuels and other petroleum derivatives in our facilities, from where they are dispatched through ships, pipelines and / or trucks throughout the country and also to supply the energy matrix “.

Likewise, the Secretary of Energy, Darío Martinez, stressed that: “It is very important to be able to have this type of relationship and work together. Also to show our society, our neighbors, everything that is needed for society to have energy in quantity and quality. DAPSA has more than 250 employees and also produces in its industrial plant 10% of the lubricants sold in the country and 60% of the lubricating greases. It also produces the modified asphalt used for the development of large road infrastructure works required by the country.
