A first flight with dozens of Cubans expelled by the US government arrived at Havana International Airport on Monday, the island’s state media confirmed.
The flight from Miami arrived at José Martí airport in the afternoon with a group of 123 Cubans, some of whom arrived in the United States by sea and others who crossed the border into Mexico , reported the official CubaDebate website.
Relatives of the Cubans who remained detained in South Florida had contacted Telemundo 51 to warn them of the imminence of the expulsion of the migrants, whose asylum requests were rejected by the American authorities.
