We’ve had countless adaptations of The three Musketeers, and even more cloak and dagger movies. But The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan arrives with the promise of pure entertainment, using for this the largest budget at European level of 2023 (more than 70 million euros!). Spectacular scene in which the protagonist meets the three musketeers: Athos, Porthos and Aramis. Yes, the personality of the characters has been changed, by adding for example an interesting LGTBIQ+ layer that does not disturb absolutely. But basically, the dynamics generated there are practically modeled on those already observed in any adaptation.
Another positive point of The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan are Eva Greenstanding out from the rest of her co-stars when playing Milady, one of the most interesting characters in the film. Obviously, he will be more of a protagonist in the second part (entitled The Three Musketeers: Milady), but in the meantime, the performer gave a lesson in how to devour the camera with your eyes.
Now well, the action scenes will divide, something understandable since they are spectacular on the one hand (decorate rooms impressive, craftsmen and who enter through the eyes), both chaotic (a lot of sequence shots with blows to the shoulder that make you dizzy). I’ll talk about that later, but if you’re prone to motion sickness, I recommend you be patient.
