Budapest, March 7. The new and ninth film in the “Alien” saga, directed by Uruguayan Fede Álvarez and starring actress Cailee Spaeny, will begin filming in Budapest on Thursday, March 9.

“In this ninth installment of the popular film series, a group of young people from a distant world come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” reveals the film’s producer, 20th Century Studios, in a communicated.

Junto a Speany, who acted in the miniseries “Mare of Easttown”, appears in the reparto David Jonsson (Industry), Archie Renaux (Sombra y hueso), Isabela Merced (Rosalina), Spike Fearn (The Batman) y Aileen Wu (Lejos of the House).

The two producers of the new film are the director of the original “Alien”, Ridley Scott, who produced and directed two other installments in the saga: Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, as well as Michael Pruss (The Boston Strangler).

Scott had already anticipated in 2019 that he was planning a new installment in the saga.

For the moment, we do not know when the filming of this ninth part will end.
