United Arab Emirates announced this Wednesday that it will offer a 10-year golden visa to foreign doctors who reside in the country and have a license to practice. This is to attract talent in the field of health after the impact suffered by the pandemic of COVID-19.

The Emirati Government indicated through a message on Twitter that all doctors authorized to practice the profession by national regulatory bodies may request this visa, which grants them and their families a residence permit for ten years, from this date. month and until September 2022.

This measure “Increases their sense of stability and contributes to attracting the best knowledge and skills in the field of health from different countries of the world,” explained the Government on the social network.

The Emirates thus seeks to mitigate the effects of the pandemic in the country, which to date registers more than 670,000 confirmed cases (out of a population of almost 10 million inhabitants) and just over 1,900 deaths.

The rich oil country has already used the golden visa and other immigration incentives in recent months to tempt other strategic groups, such as programmers, teleworkers or investors.
