Couple gets engaged on a cliff in Turkey; minutes later, the bride falls to her death
What was to be one of the happiest days of their lives turned into the worst tragedy after the bride died in a tragic accident after getting engaged to be married.
Getting engaged in marriage is one of the most special moments of your life, so men who decide to take the next step in their relationship, usually prepare something spectacular, in a unique place, to give their partner the engagement ring.
Unfortunately, there are some engagement proposals that don’t go as expected, and there are even some that can have a tragic ending.
That is what happened to a couple in Turkey identified as Nizamettin Gursu and Yesim Demir, where the woman died minutes after receiving the ring in a tragic accident.
It turns out that this couple got engaged on the cliff of Canakkale, a tourist site in this country and is famous for having an enviable view and, therefore, is considered one of the most romantic places in this nation.
After having a couple of drinks, Nizamettin proposed to Yesmin and after she said “yes”, he went down to his car to bring food and other things. Just on the way to his vehicle, he heard a loud scream behind him.
Frightened at not seeing his partner, Gursu approached the edge of the mountain, discovering that, unfortunately, his fiancée had fallen into the void, apparently after slipping down the cliff.
According to a local media, the woman fell from a height of 30 meters and managed to survive; however, she died a few minutes later from the injuries generated by the strong blow she suffered, despite the fact that paramedics tried to revive her for 45 minutes.
“We chose it to have a romantic memory after the proposal. We drank some alcohol. It all happened at once. She lost her balance and fell,” Gursu told reporters after the fatal accident.
