Where’s the money, when will they maintain the lines, why don’t they care? These are just some of the most important questions that users often ask in different lines of the Metro Public Transport System (STC), because breakdowns and reports of certain damages continue to be the order of the day.

On this occasion, the alarms were triggered on line 9, which starts from Pantitlan to Tacubayabecause a series of complaints arouse the excitement and concern of the inhabitants.

Through social networks, some images have been shared showing the raised bridge, located at the height of the where is Pantitlán, since a strong deterioration is observed.

However, footage revealed that they were only placing tubes in the damaged area in an attempt to quiet the calls of thousands of people traveling on that line.

And it is that the fear grows even more, since at the moment it is one of the most saturated lines, after the closure of the line 1which has been carried out since 2022. For this reason, thousands of people travel this route daily.

The warning in this line is latent, because according to qualified workers and dedicated to the field of maintenance, they repeatedly reported failures, but they did not take them into account.

“It’s a line that needs to be constantly monitored and fully repair any damage it presents.”

During an interview, the workers assured that more emphasis should be placed on the section that goes from Pantitlán to the VelodromeIt is therefore necessary to correct road line. “Trains must slow down on the section from Velódromo to Ciudad Deportiva at each passage to avoid any accident or derailment.”

The workers announced that this assignment had occurred due to the collapse of the column which supports the box. In this way, they explained that the corrective works at the box of track will allow to recover the speed of passage of the trains in the place, as well as to eliminate the vibrations that the convoys present when passing through this section.

“A large accumulation of people is due to this defect and it has already been announced to the union and the government, but they are not responding to the requests,” specialized workers said.

Chaos is happening daily on Line 9, as dozens of people report breakdowns and even massive delays of up to 40 minutes all along the line especially during rush hour.

This morning, dozens of users were blocked for more than 30 minutes from this line (Pantitlan). The fact meant that the citizens who were in front could only board after several minutes.

The STC metro reported that the incident was due to a breakdown in a train which had to be removed for inspection. The complaints started around 6 a.m. and the progress of the trains was slow.

“Someone noticed that between Pantitlán station and Puebla station the cars lean or it’s just my perception because the truth scares me”; “There is none for maintenance but there is for campaigns”; “Pantitlán enormously full and its mess of taking out the trains that arrive instead of the one that is already full! More than 20 minutes in Pantitlán Line 9 and the train does not leave”, these are just some of the disagreements that users have posted regarding this line today and in recent days.
