Irving BarriosMojicaattorney general of the state of Tamaulipasannounced that as part of the investigations aimed at elucidating the kidnapping of four Americans – and the murder of two of them – the authorities have seized five vehicles linked to the case.

Among the cars, he highlighted the discovery of a Lamborghini which, in the words of the official, would have been stolen in the United States. All units were located in Matamoros, the same town where the events occurred.

According to preliminary versions, it is a Lamborghini Huracan gray color, no plates visible. The car recovery operation was the result of a joint effort between the State Guard of the Ministry of Public Security, the Investigative Police of the Attorney General’s Office and elements of the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination (Conase).

Although it was clarified that the vehicles are part of the investigation for the kidnapping of Latavia McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown and Eric James Williamsneither company provided details regarding their relationship to the case.

In addition to this update, an operation carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office made it possible to locate and seize an ambulance and a clinic associated with the deprivation of liberty of American citizens. Apparently, the medical center would be where the victims were taken to receive FIRST AID.

“The results of the investigations revealed that the clinic was used to provide first aid medical care to American citizens. To this end, they were taken on board the ambulance, which was secured as evidence and to continue the investigations,” the prosecution said in a statement.

Information collected and published by The New York Times confirmed that indeed, Latavia Washington McGee had an appointment at a clinic in Tamaulipas to undergo cosmetic surgery.

The New York outlet managed to interview a nurse from said facility, who revealed that McGee I had an appointment on March 3 at 7:00., which never came. According to the testimony of “Verónica”, as the worker identified herself, it was the second time that Latavia would visit such a unit.

The young woman would undergo an abdominoplasty, a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen, the aim of which is generally to strengthen the muscles of the abdominal wall.

For security reasons, the name of the clinic awaiting McGee’s arrival has not been released. In addition to the details provided by the nurse interviewed, it was specified that approximately half of the patients at this facility are of American descent.

Additionally, the clinic is located within walking distance of the Brownsville, Texas border. Moving there was a response to the fear many Americans had of entering the town of Tamaulipas due to the atmosphere of violence.

“When I contacted the doctor’s office, they told me that Latavia approached them to ask for directions as she was lost,” a close friend of the young woman told the outlet. CNN. “They sent me a screenshot of the messages and said they had sent him the address and asked if he was using GPS,” he added.

McGee and Williams were rescued alive on March 7, but Woodard and Brown were killed. After spending a few days in the facilities of the forensic medicine service (Semepho) from Matamoros, their bodies were handed over to US authorities on the afternoon of March 9.
