The author of the initiative is the deputy Ruth Luque (Democratic Change – Together for Peru)who indicated on his Twitter account that “we reaffirm our right to a life free from all forms of violence”.

Last Monday, the head of Minedu sparked a whole controversy by comparing the Aymara women, who demonstrated a few days ago in downtown Lima against the government of To Boluartewith animals and that he accused them without proof that the children they carried on their backs “were surely praised”.

“Even the animals do not expose their children. We see it every day in these nature chains where a mother dies defending her children so that they are not attacked. Can those who take their children and expose them to the violence we are witnessing be called mothers? Can we get to this extreme of manipulation? I doubt it’s the mothers, I believe that in the extreme need that some women find themselves they come to praise their children enough for them to be brought to this,” he told Canal N.

Additionally, Becerra added that in his perception, “I cannot conceive of a mother exposing her children to danger” and pointed out that he “sinister spirits” behind “all these manipulations” and who hide and do not show themselves.
