A 40-year-old man from Brazil who was driving a truck was arrested after a manhunt on roads in the province of Entre Ríos. Subsequently, the suspicions for his risky maneuvers were confirmed: it was determined that he was circulating under the influence of alcohol.

It all started at dawn yesterday on Route 127, in which the trucker, belonging to the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, it was seen zigzagging, and leaving and entering the asphalt tape abruptly.

Police officers from the El Pingo town police station tried to stop him, although they just managed to do it on the kilometer 62 of provincial route 32 in the entrance area to the Entre Ríos town of Maria Grande. There the ignition key was removed from the vehicle to immobilize it.

Police personnel from the Aldea Santa María road post tried to carry out a breathalyzer test but the man refused, therefore, according to the Traffic Law 24,449, it was taken as a positive result with his maximum graduation, for being a professional driver.

Since the prosecutor on duty ordered the arrest of the man for “resistance to the authority in flagrante delicto”, due to “his behavior” by refusing to stop the march on the road and his “Attempts to prevent the development of the police procedure.”

After the fact, the truck driver was staying at the María Grande police station, where police medical personnel found “obvious signs of drunkenness” in the driver of the vehicle, they detailed from the force.

From the Provincial Directorate of Roads (DPV) warned that There was no fatality or accident thanks to “the low traffic during the early morning.”

Weeks ago, another truck driver was involved in an inopportune event when he was arrested in Córdoba by personnel of the National Gendarmerie. Carried more than 13 million pesos of which he could not justify origin.

The event occurred at height of kilometer 878 of National Route 60, in proximity to the city of San José de las Salinas, when troops from Squad 65 dependent on the Group XX “Córdoba” they carried out routine checks and stopped the march of a truck driven by a 63-year-old man.

At that time, the trucker stated that he was traveling from the city of Salvador Mazza in Salta to the town of Jesus Maria, about 130 kilometers from where they stopped him.

Once the control began, the gendarmes detected that inside the truck there were two thermal bags shaped similar to beer barrels. The objects caught their attention and they decided to inspect them. To their surprise, they found a large number of bundles of bills inside: $ 13,445,400 pesos, without any type of legal documentation that supports the transport of that amount of money.

The officers gave notice to the Justice and the case fell to Federal Court No. 2, in charge of Alejandro Sánchez Freytes. The judicial officer instructed that the division of Economic Crimes of the Complex Crimes Investigations and Judicial Procedures Unit “Córdoba” get involved in the investigation. Later, the money was seized, and the man carrying it was notified of the cause.
