The government of UNITED STATES asked the justice of this country on Wednesday to revoke the bail of the former president Alejandro Toledo finalize the extradition approved the day before by the Department of State.

A resolution sent to the judge Thomas S. Hixsonof the Northern District of California Court, says Toledo “must be detained so the government can turn him over to Peruvian authorities.”

The “pretrial detention is necessary” to carry out the order of the Secretary of State Antony Blinken despite the fact that there are no legal obstacles to delivery to the Peruvian authorities, indicates the document published by Trade.
