Madrid, March 2. The United States and the United Kingdom were the main sources of revenue in 2022 for the Spanish infrastructure multinational Ferrovial, since in these two countries alone the volume of sales exceeded 4,000 million euros, representing 54% of the group total.

That same year, 82% of the revenue generated by the company came from outside Spain.

In the management report itself, the chairman of Ferrovial, Rafael del Pino, highlighted the 9.3% increase in group sales in 2022, reaching 7,551 million euros. Net profit was 186 million, or 84.5% less.

Of this sales volume, the group obtained 2,437 million euros in the United States, which represents more than 32% of the total, and 1,661 million euros, or almost 22% of total sales in the United Kingdom. United.

Next comes Spain, where the volume of sales reached 1,443 million euros, 19%; Poland, with 923 million euros, 12%; Canada, 523 million euros, almost 7%, and Latin America, 409 million euros, 5.4% of the total.

Regarding its main markets, the company also includes an analyst assessment in which the United States and Canada represent 81% of the company’s total, the United Kingdom and Spain would both appear with 6%. The other countries would contribute 4% of Ferrovial’s value and Poland the remaining 3%.

Ferrovial itself stresses that the group continues to focus on its core markets (US, Canada, Spain, Poland, Chile, UK and India) and will identify specific opportunities in Australia and other countries in Latin America.

2022 has been an active year in investments for the company, reaching 856 million euros. Among the operations, the entry into the New York JFK airport consortium to build and manage the new Terminal 1 until 2060 stands out.

In the Airports division, the multinational continued to benefit from the sustained recovery of traffic in the terminals, particularly in the case of Heathrow, in London.

In addition, among the milestones for 2022 are the awards to Ferrovial for the construction of the Toronto subway, for 2,042 million euros; a mega-project to build tunnels and bridges on a new 12 km section of the Pacific Highway in Australia, at Coffs Harbor Bypass, for 445 million; as well as works in the Paris metro for 181 million euros.
