Despite indications and warnings from the government of Mexico City, a group of civilians demonstrated in front of the house of the mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Sandra Cuevas, the morning of this Sunday, February 19. The above due to the prohibition of so-called “sonideros”.

According to Sandra Cuevas, the authorities of the town hall of Cuauhtémoc had been inviting the sonidero “colectivo Colombia” for nearly four months to lower the music during their Sunday balls, due to noise pollution and complaints from neighbors. Since it was a demonstration in front of the house of Sandra Cuevas, the CDMX government secretary, Marti Batres, He warned through his social networks that the authorities of the capital did not approve of the demonstration near the houses of the civil servants, because he stressed that “the personal sphere of each person must be respected”. For this reason, he called not to perform it.

At the time, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc accused the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaumfor so-called “promote public disorder and peace” in the said boulevard. The above after pointing out that groups linked to the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) have called for a demonstration outside his house this Sunday in order to disrupt his management.
