In this romantic drama, two pilots seek to win the heart of a woman and be chosen for an important space mission. However, life is cruel enough to allow them to get both wishes.

This European-based production explores romance framed within the science fiction genre. A young man travels to space with the goal of becoming a great astronaut, but when he returns he finds that time has passed for everyone but him. With the same face and the same physique with which he said goodbye to Earth, Niko will have to find his place in a world he does not know and will try to win back Marta’s love.
Marta is no longer the same 25-year-old girl she met before, but a woman over 50 with a life made up of her. Is it possible that the union will resurface between the two after waiting for its arrival for three decades? Meanwhile, Bogdan – Niko’s former rival – has also aged and no longer has the same drive he had during his years as a fighter pilot; he will, however, relive a few moments of his youth when this former colleague returns to the planet.
The girl and the cosmonaut stars Magdalena Cielecka as Marta (55), Jędrzej Hycnar as Nikodem Borowski, Andrzej Chyra as Bogdan (58), Vanessa Alexander as Marta (25) and Jakub Sasak as Bogdan (28). The six-episode season is directed by Bartosz Prokopowicz and written by Agata Malesinska; is produced by Olga Cerkaska and Bartosz Cerkaski.
