The murderer who killed a man in Palermo for a mobile phone acted with an accomplice

The Homicide Division of the municipal police, under the orders of prosecutor Marcelo Retes, examined security cameras and interviewed witnesses to locate the murderers of Juan Francisco Fernandez Acosta, the systems engineer from Venezuela who was assassinated in Palermo. The researchers’ reconstruction speaks of complete cruelty: the victim barely resisted and, automatically, one of the offenders shot him at close range.

Moreover, they escaped by car. “We have cameras and we are looking for the car. We continue to take steps to identify the author and his companion, specify the fact and the motive”assured a key source in the case.

The main hypothesis speaks of the attempted theft of the mobile phone. It is also confirmed by the victim’s friend, who witnessed the event, although there are some reserved details in the file which allows the investigators not to close only on this hypothesis.

According to sources in the case, at 215 hours, personnel from the 14A Neighborhood Police Station of the Municipal Police arrived at the door of a bicycle shop on Aráoz Street in 1400, Palermo district. They found Fernández shot in the head.

So, they requested an ambulance from SAME. The injured man was transferred to Fernández Hospital. The victim, 27, from Venezuela, who lived across the street from the crime scene, suffered brain death after being assisted by a ventilator and died on Monday morning.

The victim’s family indicated to this point of sale that the young man worked during the day as Systems engineer and the night like delivery. His cousin expressed the pain of the whole family: “We only ask for justice and that they help their parents to travel or to repatriate the body of our Juan Francisco, please.”

And he continued: “It was a boy Exceptional, a good son, a good brother, affectionate, hardworking and respectful, an excellent human being.. She was a very good person, who didn’t deserve anything that was happening to her.

A neighbor of the victim assured NT: “I am Venezuelan like him. I’ve been here for three months and I met Juan Francisco. He was a professional boy, a systems engineer. He had plans and dreams that came true because he was an entrepreneur, a hard worker”. To supplement his income, he delivered with his motorcycle. Precisely, it was registered in the headings of messaging of the AFIP.

Another neighbour, of the same nationality, said: “We don’t know if the attacker was alone or accompanied. He came walking. He asked for his things. Something extreme is happening here. Less than two meters away we have a police station and the insecurity is enormous here. You don’t feel calm anymore.”

And counted: “We in Venezuela have always lived on alertpending, because we already knew the situation we were living in. We thought Argentina was a quieter country, but now we see it’s not so”.

For the moment, few details are known about the murderer: dark complexion, slim build, short hair. He was wearing a jersey in the colors of Boca Juniors.
