CLEVELAND, AP — Joel Embiid finished with 36 points, 18 rebounds and entered the Finals 4:12 after being initially called for his sixth personal foul, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to their sixth straight win in a 118-109 loss to Cleveland. Riders on Wednesday evening.

James Harden added 28 points and Tyrese Maxey had 23 for the Sixers. They were leading 108-101 when Embiid was called for an offensive foul for charging Evan Mobley with a jumper.

When Cleveland fans began celebrating Embiid’s apparent disqualification, Sixers coach Doc Rivers immediately contested the appeal, which was overturned after reviewing the replay and the superstar was able to stay on the floor .

Caris LeVert scored 24 points and Donovan Mitchell added 21 for the Cavaliers, who played for the second straight night. Cleveland was without center Jarrett Allen, who missed his third game with a sore right eye.
