In the video, titled “So long, nerds ” and posted to his account of 10 million followers, he shows his father describing him as “the most amazing son one could wish for.”

“If I had another 100 lives, I would choose to go back to being Technoblade every time. Those were the happiest years of my life.”

The online star, who won Minecraft tournaments and had legions of fans talking about his life in humorous ways as he played, explained in a fundraising video posted in February that he had undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy and limb-sparing surgery after of developing a painful tumor on his right arm.

Following the news of his death, his fans, fellow gamers, and YouTubers paid tribute to him online.

“I will never forget the day I met Technoblade” , recalled J. Schlatt.

Technoblade, as he called himself in the video game, rose to fame livestreaming and posting clips of himself playing video games.

With a video presented by his father, the popular player who was diagnosed with cancer last year, he said goodbye to his 11 million subscribers.

“Hey everyone, this is Technoblade . If you’re watching this, I’m dead.”

The message, in a video with the caption “See you later, nerds”, was read by his father, who explains that the youtuber asked him to read it to his 11 million subscribers. Technoblade was diagnosed with cancer last year and had undergone chemotherapy treatment for the disease.

“Let’s sit down and have one last chat,” he says in his message, in which he reveals that his real name is Alex.

“Sorry I’ve sold so much in the last year, but thanks to everyone who bought hoodies, stuffed toys, and channel memberships,” Technoblade wrote.

“My brothers will go to university! well, if they want. I don’t want to put any dead brother pressure on them .”

“That’s all from me. Thank you to everyone who has supported my content over the years .”

And he ends by saying: “If I had another 100 lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every time, because those were the happiest years of my life” .

“I hope you enjoyed my content and that it made you laugh. And I hope you continue to live long, prosperous and happy lives. Because I love you… Technoblade out.” Alex’s father is later seen in the video explaining how for the past few months they have been discussing how to present the video and where to record it.

Eventually, Technoblade decided to write the message down and asked his father to read it.

“It was very difficult for him to write it (…) and then I knelt by his bed and told him: ‘ Alex, you don’t have to do anything else , you have done a lot for many people and if you want, now you can rest,'” he says. his father crying.

And he adds: “he was the most incredible son we could have wanted… I miss Technoblade”. Technoblade’s father thanked fans in the farewell video, noting, “They meant a lot to him . ”

She explained that a portion of the proceeds from online orders for her late son’s merchandise would now go to charity.
