Sweden has ordered further investigations into damage to the two Nord Stream gas pipelines last month, the prosecutor in charge of the case said in a statement on Friday.

Both Sweden and Denmark have concluded that four leaks in Nord Stream 1 and 2 were caused by explosions, but have not said who might be responsible. Several world leaders have described it as an act of sabotage.

“I have decided, together with the security police, to carry out a series of additional investigations at the scene,” chief prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist said.

“The Armed Forces have decided, upon request, to collaborate in the investigation,” he added.
