The famous parador “La Susana”, from Punta del Este (Uruguay), suffered a violent fire this Sunday afternoon.

The place was immediately evacuated by security personnel, so no injuries were reported after the fact.

According to local media, the flames broke out around 6:30 p.m. local time. The structure of the inn is entirely made of wood, so the authorities presume that the destruction could be total.

According to what was reported by the local newspaper The countrythe firefighters intervened on the spot to contain the flames with the support in water of the tanker 330 of Maldonado and ABT of Maldonado.
