The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, announced this Friday the distribution of 406,800 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine to all the country’s provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, with the aim of continuing with the vaccination plan to combat COVID-19 .
The head of the health portfolio confirmed to her provincial peers that they could be used as dose 1 for teachers, health personnel and people between 18 and 59 years with risk conditions since the steps to have more Sinopharm vaccines are well advanced in the short term.
Vizzotti defined last week that the amount of vaccines delivered to each province, which began to arrive last Monday, has the character of public information and under guidelines of total transparency.
Between this Friday and Saturday, a total of 154,800 doses will be distributed to the province of Buenos Aires; 27,900 to the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires; 3,600 to Catamarca; 10,800 to Chaco; 5,400 to Chubut; 33,300 to Córdoba; 9,900 to Corrientes; 12,600 to Entre Ríos; 5,400 to Formosa; 7,200 to Jujuy; 3,600 to La Pampa; 3,600 to La Rioja; 18,000 to Mendoza; 11,700 to Misiones; 6,300 to Neuquén; 7,200 to Río Negro; 12,600 to Salta; 7,200 to San Juan; 4,500 to San Luis; 3,600 to Santa Cruz; 18,900 to Rosario, Santa Fe; 12,600 to Santa Fe Capital; 9,000 to Santiago del Estero; 1,800 to Tierra del Fuego and 15,300 to Tucumán.
The number sent to each jurisdiction strictly depends on the percentage of the population and is adapted to the minimum packaging unit, which is 400 or 900 doses per conservative.
The Public Vaccination Monitor, which launched the health portfolio to ensure transparency and traceability of immunizations distributed throughout the country, registers this morning a total of 1,357,596 vaccines applied, 1,030,504 people who received the first dose and 327,092 the two doses.
