South Korea and the United States: In response to North Korea, they fire eight ballistic missiles

The Seoul Army reported that South Korea and the United States fired eight ballistic missiles in response to North Korea.

The tension between the 3 nations has been increasing, after military forces from South Korea and the United States launched the ground-to-ground missiles of the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) during the early hours of this Monday.

This just one day after Pyongyang launch eight short-range ballistic missiles after joint exercises between United States and South Korea who mobilized an aircraft carrier.

“Our army strongly condemns the series of provocative ballistic missiles and strongly urges to stop the acts that increase military tensions on the peninsula,” he added.

The communist regime has accelerated its weapons development program this year, despite economic sanctions against it.

Senior South Korean and US officials as well as analysts believe that the country led by Kim Jong Un prepares to conduct a nuclear test.

Monday’s shooting is the second joint show of force between Seoul and Washington since the arrival of the new South Korean president Yoon Suk-yeolwhich advocates a firmer stance against Pyongyang.

Last month, both countries launched missile launches after North Korea fire three ballistic missiles, including one with an alleged intercontinental range.
